Logo Design

Role

Graphic and Visual Design

I designed a logo for a homestay business in China, drawing inspiration from its distinctive natural surroundings. The region is renowned for its striking granite peaks, breathtaking sunsets, and serene landscapes, which attract visitors seeking both beauty and relaxation.

My process began with researching the area’s cultural and environmental context to understand what would resonate with potential guests. I explored multiple concepts, incorporating organic shapes and minimalist lines to reflect the simplicity and comfort of the homestay experience. The final design features clean typography paired with a symbolic leaf and home motif, visually representing the harmony between nature and hospitality. This project allowed me to combine storytelling, cultural sensitivity, and visual design principles to create a logo that not only captures the brand’s values but also stands out across digital and print applications.

TeaCloud Website Design

Role

UX/UI Design Prototyping

The owner of The Tea Cloud started her tea business about two years ago, initially selling exclusively on Etsy. This platform allowed her to enter the market and build her brand as a startup. As the business has grown rapidly, she is now exploring opportunities to take it to the next level by moving her online store from Etsy to her own website.

A fan of modern minimalism, she envisions a clean, easy‑to‑navigate, and user‑friendly website. While a mobile app is not a current priority, the site must be fully responsive to ensure a seamless experience across devices. The goal is to transition from relying on Etsy to operating an independent, well‑designed online store that reflects her brand and supports continued growth.

Landscape Design + Project Management

Role

Landscape Designer

Here are some samples from my previous work experience. I worked as a landscape designer for eight years, developing a skill set that includes landscape design, design sketches, 3D models and renderings, construction documents, and project management. I was involved in every aspect of a project—from communicating with clients, shaping concept designs, and leading design iterations, to producing detailed construction documents and overseeing post‑design construction phases.

This role allowed me to practice design thinking in complex, real‑world contexts and sharpen my skills in problem‑solving, visual communication, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Many of these capabilities—such as understanding user needs, translating concepts into tangible solutions, and iterating based on feedback—naturally transferred into my transition to UX/UI design, where I now apply the same creative and analytical approach to crafting intuitive, user‑centered digital experiences.
