I got a request from a homestay business owner in China asking for a business logo design. They also had another designer working on this at the same time. After two rounds of delivery, my work was picked!
This homestay business is located in my hometown, a famous place of interest in China, called Huangshan, known for its unique natural scenery, sunsets, and peculiarly shaped granite peaks. I brought the feeling of nature, comforts, and peace into the design. Thinking of its long history, I developed two versions, one feels more traditional, and the other one is more modern.
After the first deliery, I got comments from the business owner:
"We had a meeting on your designs, and the majority voted for the modern one."
"We think it fits our story."
"One associate had a corncern on having a pointing downside leaf. Could you design it to be more vitality?"
Taking the clients' feedbacks into consideration, I changed the design and delivered the second version. The one on the right is the winner!
